The Challenge We Address

South Asia, with its rich biodiversity and rapidly growing economies, faces a unique paradox: the very industries that drive economic growth—tourism, hospitality, and healthcare—are also among the largest contributors to environmental degradation. In regions like Jammu & Kashmir, the influx of tourists brings economic opportunity but also places immense pressure on fragile ecosystems, water resources, and waste management systems.

Hospitals, while saving lives, generate hazardous biomedical waste and consume massive amounts of energy. Hotels and hospitality establishments, though vital to the local economy, often struggle to adopt green practices due to a lack of awareness, technical know-how, or upfront investment.

We recognized this gap, and SAIRT was born to bridge it.

Our Mission

To accelerate the transition toward a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy across South Asia by:

  • Conducting cutting-edge, context-specific research that identifies sustainable solutions tailored to the unique geographical, cultural, and economic realities of the region.

  • Delivering world-class training programs that upskill professionals, managers, and policymakers in the adoption of green technologies and sustainable operational methods.

What We Do

1. Research for Sustainable Development

Our research division focuses on actionable studies in areas such as:

  • Renewable energy integration in commercial buildings

  • Water conservation and rainwater harvesting systems

  • Solid waste management and circular economy models

  • Carbon footprint assessment for tourism circuits

  • Biomedical waste treatment and safe disposal protocols

    The Annals of Public Administration and Policy Evaluation emerges as a comprehensive, interdisciplinary forum dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of governance. By integrating the traditionally linked yet distinct fields of public administration and policy analysis, the journal provides a cohesive platform for examining the machinery of government and the substantive outcomes it produces. It welcomes scholarly contributions on foundational administrative topics—such as bureaucratic reform, digital governance, public finance, and organizational theory—alongside rigorous evaluations of policy design, implementation, and impact. This dual focus ensures the journal serves as a critical resource for understanding both how public institutions operate and how well their policies achieve intended goals across the diverse spectrum of governmental activity.
